A-PEX, A bunch of guys from the deep countryside of Birmingham with high hopes and dreams of making 'the big time'... A-PEX first appeared, when in mid-2007, 4 kids who had played tennis together for most of their lives realised they all had the same taste in music and all played appropriate instruments to start a band... Originally a cover band known as Hello Heaton with former members Alex Heaton - Vocals, and Jon Lloyd - Guitar, the band played minor gigs at local pubs... Due too other commitments, such as university...
the two left... Therefore the line up of Jonny, Nate, Ben and Bob were remaining and decided to start writing their own songs... The band recorded their first EP, 'The Songs That Made Us Famous' with producer Miguel Seco in 2008... The band recorded their second EP in the summer of 2009, 'Brand New Morning', again with Seco.
This EP featured crowd favourite's 'Elle' and 'Back On Cloud 9'.
In April 2010, Ben announced he was leaving the band because he no longer felt he had the drive to play music like he used to.
Ben and the band remain on good terms. Shortly after the band recorded their third EP, 'Ambitions of the Lost and Found', featuring their biggest hit yet 'I'll Be Here Tomorrow', this was also recorded with Seco. After recording the EP in April, It was announced that Ollie Wiggin, Nate's brother would be replacing Ben. In May 2010, A-PEX added a 3rd guitarist to the line-up, Miles Page.
Known for his technical work and creativity, Page is poised to be a great addition to the band.
A-PEX are now seeking a record label to release their first full length album...
