Rhett would take no time to release some of his own songs after signing his first record contract.
His first extended play, "Thomas Rhett", was released in August 2012.

The extended play would also peak at number 24 on the country music charts.
Thomas Rhett would spend most of the next year working on new music before releasing his first full-length album, "It Goes Like This", in October of 2013.
