Rin' was a Japanese popular music group which combined traditional Japanese instruments and style with elements of modern pop and rock music. In 2003 the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music graduate trio Mana Yoshinaga, Tomoca Nagasu and Chie Arai formed the group, which name came from the English word 'Ring' , the Japanese word 'Wa' (meaning 'Ring' and 'Japanese-style'), and their aspiration to create a 'Ring' (in other words, 'Circle') of music.
