Sage the Gemini
The American rapper/hip hop artist known as Sage the Gemini is Dominic Wynn Woods.
Woods was born in San Francisco, California on June 20, 1992 and now resides in Fairfield, California.
Knowing that his destiny lies in music, Woods decided to drop out of school at the age of fourteen so he could devote all his time to pursuing his dream.
In 2008, Woods became one of the many artists in the modern era to get their start on the Internet.
His first single, "You Should Know" was released on MySpace where it generated enormous popularity as it garnered over 3,000,000 views.
When he realized the power of the Internet and his music, he joined the Black Money Music Group in the hopes they could help get his music heard all over the world.
Woods signed a record deal with the high-profile HBK Gang Records, EMPIRE, Republic labels.
After signing the deal in mid-2013, he wasted no time heading into studio to record his first album.
In March of 2014, that debut album entitled "Remember Me" was released.
It was well received by critics and secured moderate commercial success.
The album made it to #5 on the US Rap chart, #11 on the US R&B chart and #47 on the Billboard Hot 200 Albums Chart.
The best-selling single from the new album was "Gas Pedal", which peaked at #4 on the Rap Chart and #6 on the R&B Chart.
It became very apparent from the significant airplay that Sage the Gemini was positioning himself for a long and prosperous career in the music industry.
He is currently in the studio working on the follow-up album due out sometime in 2015.
