Reality

Reality (Gaetan Tremblay) started his venture into the world of electronic music very young in Victoria, BC, Canada. Through internet radio and record shops he listened closely to the emerging underground sound of drum & bass, dubstep and trip hop; fine tuning his particular taste as time passed. Quickly he became involved in the local scene, volunteering and designing fliers as a graphic artist for events. This presence lead him to work full time selling vinyl and sound gear at downtown Victoria's central DJ shop. Naturally his inspiring desire for music evolved into a self expression; and it became Reality. Focusing on edgy, fresh and forward thinking bass driven sounds from the future he refined his skills and became a popular local producer and DJ. Hungry for more than the laid back coasts of Vancouver Island he arrived in Montreal, Quebec. Reality soon sparked the notable interest of grime and future garage legend Intoccabile who pulled him into the local scene as a valuable musical mentor. Acccelerated by promoters like Bass Drive founders Vilify and Construct, Corey K of The Session and DubMashine, Reality has rocked some of the hottest bass rattled nights alongside the best local talent and top international artists such as Blokhe4d (Bad Company/Hospital Records/UK), Bare Noize (Mau5trap Records/UK) and Mongoose (Glitchy & Scratchy/Muti Music/CAN). Reality has an exclusive self titled EP signed by Montreal's well known record label Monkey Dub Recording and has officially founded and launched Final Recordings; an ambitious project to pioneer the sharpest artists on the radar. You can find him every Friday in Montreal running his weekly club night Invasion (Fridays at Mica Lounge) alongside associate residents Strangelove and Dr. Phibes. Reality is a bustling, non-stop snowballing success; feeding and spreading the ultimate love for music and sound.
