Pop singer Merche was born in Cádiz, Spain, on June 14th, 1974. Music has always been important in her life. That's why she studied to become a music teacher. But she always dreamt to be a singer. In 2001 she entered the song No me pidas más amor in the Spanish preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest. She came 6th, but the song became famous after a big promotion. Her debut album is called Mi sueño. It was published in 2002 and includes her singles No me pidas más amor, Mi sueño or Le deseo.
