Maxence Cyrin

Maxence Cyrin is a French pianist and composer.He was born in Besançon.
After training at the conservatory, Cyrin moved on to electronic music and new-wave and made several records during the 1990s.In 2005, he released Modern Rhapsodies on FCom, the label founded by DJ Laurent Garnier, where he reinterprets iconic themes of electronic music from artists like Massive Attack, Depeche Mode and Aphex Twin as a solo pianist.In 2008, Cyrin was invited to participate in the Scopitone music festival in Nantes.In 2010, he made a second album in a similar vein, entitled Novö Piano, produced by Marc Collin of Nouvelle Vague, in which he adapted pop, rock and electro tracks from artists such as The Pixies, Daft Punk and Nirvana.Cyrin released an album of original material, The Fantaisist, in 2012, which is described as a "fantasized self-portrait".Cyrin also works regularly for the fashion industry with brands like Lanvin, Chanel, or Margiela, and has participated in projects in the contemporary art world.
