Flume

Flume is the performance name of Harley Edward Streten, an electronic musician and DJ from Sydney, Australia.
Streten was born on November 5, 1991.
He began writing his own music at a young age.
By 2010, he was releasing his own singles and remixes, and using his initials, HEDS, as a stage name.
In 2011, Streten entered into a contest held by Future Classics, an Australian record label.
He submitted three songs and won the competition, which gained him a recording contract with the label.
Shortly afterward, Streten, who was then going by the name Flume, released his first EP, "Sleepless".
In 2012, Flume was ready to release his first full length studio album.
The album, which was eponymous, contained 15 tracks.
After the initial success of his first EP, Flume already had a loyal fan following, and his new album quickly became popular as well.
It reached number one on the Australian Albums chart.
Singles such as "Holdin On", "On Top", and "Sleepless" became popular around the world.
In early 2013, Flume embarked on his first headlining tour.
The tour took him around Australia, and also led him to play large festivals such as the SXSW festival.
Later that year, in November, Flume released a second EP, called "Lockjaw EP".
2013 also saw Flume win awards for Album of the Year, Best Male Artist, Breakthrough Artist- Release, Producer of the Year and Best Dance Release from the ARIA Music Awards.
He also won Best Independent Artist, Best Independent Album and Best Independent Dance/ Electronica Single from the AIR Awards.
In addition, Flume continued to remix songs from other bands and performers.
