Battle Beast

Battle Beast is a Finnish metal music band established in in 2008.Battle Beast was founded in Helsinki in year 2008.
The initial line-up consisted of guitarists Anton Kabanen and Juuso Soino and the drummer Pyry Vikki, who were all old high school friends.
Rest of the original line up, singer Nitte Valo, bassist Eero Sipilä and keyboardist Janne Björkroth were added to the band after auditions.Before gaining a record contract Battle Beast had made some name by winning two major band competitions in year 2010.
First the band emerged victorious in Wacken Metal Battle 2010, participated by the thousands of bands all around the world.
The final stage of the competition was held in the famed German metal festival, Wacken Open Air.
Soon after that, the band was announced the winner of Radio Rock Starba, a band competition held by a major Finnish radio station Radio Rock.
Winning the Finnish competition won the band lots of media exposure, and soon after the win, a record deal with the Finnish label Hype Records was signed in late 2010.The bands first album, titled Steel, was released in Finland in Spring 2011.
With the support of the two singles, "Show me How to Die" and "Enter the Metal World" which both had gained heavy airplay on Radio Rock, the album Steel peaked at #7 upon its release.
Althugh released only in Finland, the album soon caught the attention of the international metal label Nuclear Blast, with whom the band signed a licensing deal in late 2011.
A reissue of Steel, boosted with one bonus track, was released to the European market in January 2012.
To support the European release, Battle Beast headed on its first tour supporting their countrymen Nightwish - the most successful band in Finland's music history - on a lengthy European tour as a part of Nightwish's Imaginaerum world tour.
The tour was reported a success by both of the bands - on the final show of the tour Nightwish paid their respects to the support band by performing a cover of "Show me How to Die" as a part of their acoustic set.In Autumn 2012, after touring the Finnish rock festivals for the summer, Nitte Valo was announced to be leaving the band, resorting to family-issues.
With the news of the departure came the announcement of a new lead singer: the new front lady was to be Noora Louhimo from Tampere, Finland.
With Noora in the band Battle Beast soon headed on another European tour in November, this time supporting the power metal band Sonata Arctica.Having finished the tour the band immediately went to studio to record their second album.
With Hype Productions ceasing its record business, the band moved on to Warner Music with Nuclear Blast still handling the international release.
The first single with Noora on vocals, "Into the Heart of Danger" was released 26.4.2013, followed by the album Battle Beast on 17.5.2013.
Another single and a music video for the song Black Ninja was released to coincide with the release of the album.
The album topped the sales of its predecessor easily, peaking at #5 and staying on the charts for 17 weeks.
The album also charted on various European countries including Germany.
The following Autumn Battle Beast headed on another European tour, this time supporting the German bands Powerwolf and U.D.O..In January 2014, Battle Beast was announced one of the five nominees for the best Finnish metal album in the national Emma-gaala awards.
