Seed

SeedArran Browne - Guitar/VocalsRico - Bass/VocalsChris Collins - Vocals/KeysWilll Lawson - Drums/Vocals The first Seed album is one of those three years in the making - overnight success stories.
The core of the band had been writing the majority of the instrumental tracks long before a singer was in the fold. "We would just get together and jam for hours.
All three of us had been members of other bands and decided it was time to stop playing other peoples music and make something of our own" says Rico.
Slowly but surely the tracks were arranged and carved out in Arran's home studio, leaving the boys with an instrumental demo.
"After working together on a few different projects for roughly a year Ryan handed me this demo and said you know, would you wanna try laying down some vocals over these tunes? I remember listening to it the first time and thinking...man these guys must really hate singers", Collins laughs.
" It wasn't like anything that I had tried singing over before". Taking it song by song the album started to come together.
"The more we played and wrote together the easier it was for Chris to really find his voice as the singer in Seed.
And for us it was a chance to hear the music we had written in a completely different light" says Arran. "The record really has something for everyone.
I mean we all listen to a pretty wide range of tunes.
We've always said let the song be the song.
We don't really worry about sticking to one style....as long as it feels natural to the band" says Willie. "In our short career the band has been blessed to grace the stage with such great acts as: The Trews, Bedouin Soundclash, 54-40, The Reason, Gentlemen Husbands, Before The Curtain, The Spades, Crash Parallel, Midway State, Monster Truck, The Bright Light Social Hour and we look forward to playing more shows at home and abroad." The band has already begun writing for the next record and are currently promoting their debut self-titled disc.
