The history of the entertainment world has been made up of innovators, visionaries, and most of all artists who aren't afraid to be different. These are the kind of artists we remember forever, the kind of artists who above all else strive to change the system.
In March 2011, the music industry was introduced to two unique characters with the above description, a unique yet mainstream acoustic/rap duo known as Vibe (comprised of rapper Chris Young and singer Rossy). The two met at the University of Arizona in 2007 as pledges of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity where they spent their days partying and writing songs about their experiences at college. Their first collaboration came in the form of a freestyle, now known as, "Touch The Stars," an intergalactic tale of love and desire. The freestyle received tremendous support, and eventually gave both Chris Young and Rossy the motivation to pursue a career in music. The two are now best known for their songs, "Move Slow," "Wish I Never Met You" (Freestyle), "Twist Another One Up" and "Everybody Wants To Hook Up."
Vibe's music is best described as a duet between a black Eminem and Jason Mraz, accompanied by reggae and pop undertones. Over the past couple months, the two have been featured on 100 + popular music blogs such as, The Hype Machine, Good Music All Day, This Song Is Sick, Pigeons and Planes, and more. Along with a substantial blog following, Vibe has also sought interest from major record labels nationwide. Be on the lookout for Rossy and Chris Young on tour this Fall 2011!
