RUNE is an exciting new four piece band playing traditional music from each of the respective members traditions...an eclectic mix of traditional music from Ireland, Northern Britain, and France ! A rich tapestry, beautifully woven and worked into a natural and harmonious mosaic of traditional music.
From the stunning, beautiful vocals of Cindy Pascher, amazing percussion and Bodhran playing from Brittanys leading percussionist - originally from Belfast - David 'Hopi' Hopkins (percussionist from legendary Breton groups Barzaz and Bleizi Ruz), to rare tunes from Lancashire/north-west Britain and sureal 'wow factor' circular breathing on wooden & bamboo flutes from Chris Dawson (who also happens to be the same guy who makes those amazing bamboo flutes for Michael McGoldrick and Sylvain Barou no less !!), to 'whizz kid' fiddler Camille Raibaud...RUNE really does deliver something different and refreshing on the folk festival scene._____________________________RUNE est un quartet relativement récent, mais ces membres son deja bien affirmer dans le milieu de la musique celtique/traditionnelle.
Leur répertoire provient des traditions respectives de chacun, ce qui donne un mélange éclectique de musique et de chants de Irlande, Grande Bretagne et France.
La clarté de voix et talent linguistiques hors du commun de Cindy Pacher (poitou-charentes) touche au plus juste nos émotions.
Le multi-instrumentiste Chris Dawson, du nord ouest UK, avec son ettonant et tres rare technique de flute en 'respiration circulaire' (est aussi un luthier tres connu pour ces flutes, jouer par Michael McGoldrick, Sylvain Barou, etc...), et Camille Raibaud, le violoniste/guitariste virtuose bordelais, prennent alternativement le rôle d'accompagnateur et de soliste.
La rythmique solide du bodhran et les couleurs subtiles des percussions exotiques sont orchestrées par «Hopi»,(percussionist des groups Breton, comme Barzaz and Bleizi Ruz) originaire de Belfast.
