Oberkampf

Oberkampf were a French punk rock band formed in 1979 by Joe Hell (vocals), Pat Kebra (guitar), Buck-Dali (bass) and Dominik Descoubes (drums).
Following the release of their first independent single "Couleurs Sur Paris" in February 1981, Oberkampf signed to Virgin records.
They went on to record an album (P.L.C.
- Plein Les Couilles) in 1982, followed by Cris Sans Thèmes in 1985.
However, they broke up shortly afterwards, and played their last gig in May 1985.Oberkampf were known for their anti-nationalist sentiment, and once caused outrage by burning a French flag live on stage.
In 2000, Joe Hell reformed the band to tour in support of a recently released retrospective album.
In 2003, the band recorded their third album, Animal Factory.
