Gina G

Multi-Million selling recording artist Gina G began her career as a DJ in Melbourne before becoming a singer and songwriter in the 90's. She hooked up with Mark James and Bass Culture and penned the track "Love the Life". Little did they know that the song would become a Summer Anthem for Coca Cola on Australian TV in 1995. In 1996 Gina made a bold move and decided to explore her musical opportunities in the UK. Through hard work and fierce determination, Gina discovered a rough demo of ‘Ooh Aah….Just A Little Bit', at the bottom of a pile of demo tapes that were ready to be thrown out. Gina turned this song into a Number One single in the UK and a world wide smash. With this song she went on to represent Britain in the Eurovision song contest. That same year the song became a number one hit record in most countries around the world and a Top Ten US Billboard Hot 100 smash for 12 weeks. The song was awarded a Grammy nomination for "Best Dance Recording" in 1997. Gina went on to release 5 more hit singles from her debut album "Fresh" selling over 2 million copies which included the album titled single "Fresh" selling over a million copies worldwide. "Ooh Aah…" was certified Platinum in the UK by BPI. Gina's album was a UK hit and certified Silver in the UK by BPI, Gold in Japan by RIAJ. Gina then took a break to start a family. Despite recording various releases which include being a featured artist for Sodaclub, and an underground Swedish dance act with who she was featured on various compilations worldwide, it was in 2006, Gina released her official 7TH UK single "Tonight's the Night". The track remained at Number 1 on the Music Week Pop Dance chart for 4 consecutive weeks with the video landing high rotation on MTV Europe, MTV UK, VH1 ‘The Hits' and a host of other music channels. Gina became a mother again in 2007 with the birth of her second child. In 2011, Gina G returns with a brand new single "Next 2 You" releasing on the 9th October 2011. Bringing you yet another, incredibly catchy, infectious, pop dance, smash with a special feature by the incredibly talented "Vigilante" Gina is coming back with a fresh sound and style that she has wanted to do for a long time and never done before. Joining a new label, Discipline Music, Gina is back with a slamming new dance single and already halfway towards completing her 3rd Studio album which will be released soon.
