Waylayers
Waylayers consist of Harry Lee (vocals, synths), Dave Norman (bass) and Joe Andrew (guitar).
Together they create music that has been described as ‘atmospheric pop'.
The East London trio released their debut EP 'Fault Lines' to critical acclaim in the summer of 2013 and followed it up with iTunes Electronic Chart #1 - ‘Medicine'.
Fault Lines went into the US Billboard Top 100 and the iTunes Alt Top 50 and featured on the iTunes US homepage for several weeks! The first track 'S.O.S' was been described as "a futuristic pop triumph" whilst 'Magnets' was bathed in a fresh pop sensibility and packed full of synths and hooks.
The videos for both tracks were directed by Alex Brown, (The Maccabees, Klaxons, La Roux, James Blake).
‘Medicine' received rave reviews from Nylon, The Independent, Artrocker, The 405, i:D Magazine and more! The Fly Magazine made it their ‘Track of The Week' describing it as having "...a super-sized synth-pop chorus that'd have M83 scurrying back to the drawing board".
The band went on to headline The Fly Awards show in 2014.
The band were chosen as Steve Lamacq's ‘Band of the Week' on his BBC 6 Music show and received extensive support from Dermot O'Leary's and Janice Long's shows.
Photographer Rankin described the band as being "on the precipice of a career about to go stratospheric".
The band have also released official remixes for bands such as Everything Everything, Maximo Park and Mikill Pane.
Waylayers' first single 'Fires', appeared on the Kitsuné Maison 10 compilation and was produced by Ewan Pearson (Delphic).
Waylayers are represented by Eagle-i Music (Sync) and Hidden Track Music (Masters) for publishing.
Their music has been used in recent campaigns for American Eagle Outfitters throughout the US and on MTV show "Catfish'.
Following the most extensive major festival circuit of any band in the UK during 2013, Waylayers headed to SXSW in 2014, where their incendiary performances led to Fuse TV choosing the band as one of their top 5 moments of SXSW 2014, alongside Lady Gaga and The 1975.
The band have further major festivals scheduled internationally this year, as well as returning to the US for debut shows in New York, Las Vegas and Los Angeles in September.
The band also embarked on a hugely successful European tour in April, and are currently writing new material for their debut album release.
