Their names were Paulina Rubio, Sasha Sokol, Benny Ibarra, Diego Schoening, Mariana Garza, and Alix Bauer. Later on, Erick RubĂn would join the sextet. The name "Timbiriche" is the Spanish (Latin American Spanish) version of the game Dots and Boxes.
