Tevin Campbell

Tevin Jermod Campbell (born November 12, 1976) is an African-American singer, songwriter and actor.
Born in Waxahachie, Texas, he showed a passion at a very young age for singing.
He began by singing gospel in church and after being arranged to audition for a famous jazz musician in 1988, he was signed to Warner Bros.
Records.
After working with legendary record producer, Quincy Jones (who produced Michael Jackson's Thriller album - the best selling album of all time), Campbell released his platinum-selling debut album T.E.V.I.N.
in 1991.
The album included his highest-charting single to date, "Tell Me What You Want Me To Do", which reached #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.His double-platinum selling second album, I'm Ready, released in 1993 included two of Campbell's most popular songs, "Can We Talk" which reached #9 on the Billboard Hot 100 and the album's title track "I'm Ready" which also reached #9 on the Billboard.
In 1996, Campbell released his third album, Back to the World, which wasn't as successful as his first two releases and his self-titled fourth album, Tevin Campbell, was released in 1999 but failed to reach moderate success as well.Apart from music, Campbell started an acting career in Prince's sequel to Purple Rain called Graffiti Bridge.
He also made guest appearances on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Moesha, voiced the character named Powerline in Disney's animated movie A Goofy Movie and was cast as Seaweed in the Broadway musical Hairspray in 2005.Throughout his career, Campbell has earned 5 Grammy Award nominations and has sold an estimated 3 million copies worldwide (from his first two albums alone).Awards and nominations
