José Christian Chávez Garza (simly known as Christian Chavez) was born on August 7, 1983 in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico. He is a Mexican singer and actor. He is best known as a member of the pop group RBD and for his role as Giovanni Mendez Lopez in Rebelde as a money crazy teen that comes from a new rich family. From this telenovela came the band RBD. In early March 2007, a magazine published pictures of Chávez signing documents and exchanging rings with another man, allegedly his Canadian boyfriend, outing Chávez with them.
