Roy Davis Jr.

CareerDavis grew up in Chicago, Illinois, and was turned on to house music at an early age by Lil' Louis.
Davis began his own production company named Phuture in the late 1980s.
In the 1990s, Davis hosted a recording session with Peven Everett writer and producer of the song "Gabriel" (Large/XL).
The track garnered airplay, and was played in nightclubs around the world.
It peaked at #22 in the UK Singles Chart in November 1997.
The single sold over 200,000 copies, and has appeared on thousands of compilation albums including Desert Island Mix from Gilles Peterson.
Peven Everett also wrote notable hits that Davis released erroneously under his own moniker including Watch them Come Men from the Nile and Someday.
In 2004, his track, "About Love" reached #70 in the UK Singles Chart.
