I've been playing in my bedroom long enough.
I've escaped on a few occasions now, playing at house parties and even managed a couple of paid gigs in a small bar but I want to play in a club, to people who want to dance...
I've taught myself to DJ since leaving the UK in October 2010.
A short time but a lot of effort has gone into this.
Traveling around South America I played on my laptop instead of reading when quite moments presented themself and lined up my first gig in a youth hostel in Argentina before playing at a club in La Paz, Bolivia.
I love playing music that gets people dancing.
I'm developing my style and spend lots of time searching through music, listening out for tracks I really like before bringing them into my growing collection.
I look for music accross lots of genres, anything with a great beat and some musical content that makes you want to move your body.
I also have a soft spot for songs with trumpets in them.
Joris Voorn was my insperartion to start DJing, the music he plays and makes has a great rythm to it.
I love tech house but alo play funky house, some heavier beats when my mood takes me that way.
I also have lots of progessive house with a touch of trance and a growing amount of techno thrown in.
I have now progressed from my laptop where I was simply using Traktor Pro Software learning to mix with out the ability to que, onto my new Native Instruments Traktor S4 Kontroler running Traktor Pro2 software.
