Richard Burton
Richard Burton (Ponthrydyfen (Wales), 10 november 1925 - Genève (Zwitserland), 5 augustus 1984) was een Welsh acteur. Burton werd geboren als Richard Walter Jenkins in het dorpje Pontrhydyfen bij Port Talbot. Hij werd geadopteerd door zijn onderwijzer Philip H. Burton, die zijn acteertalenten ontdekte en aanmoedigde. In 1952 stapte Burton over naar Hollywood, waar hij in de film My cousin Rachel de hoofdrol kreeg met als tegenspeelster Olivia de Havilland.
