Dancer and singer-songwriter Iyaz was born in 1987 in the beautiful British Virgin Islands. Born with the name Keidran Jones on the island of Tortola, he grew up in a family full of music enthusiasts and eagerly absorbed that passion. By his early 20s, he had developed a fan base through his MySpace page and was discovered by Jamaican-American singer-songwriter Sean Kingston. Once MySpace gave him enough of a launch pad, Iyaz began to record under the label of Beluga Heights Records. In 2010, he released his first album, "Replay". Around the same time, he collaborated with Charice on the song "Pyramid" and participated in the charity recording "We Are the World 25 for Haiti". He quickly developed a reputation for perfectionism in his work. After this, he began to make a name for himself with the tween demographic, recording the song "Gonna Get This" for the "Hannah Montana Forever" soundtrack with Miley Cyrus and recording the song "You're My Only Shorty" with Demi Lovato. While he is primarily a singer, he has made some acting appearances, most notably on "Hannah Montana Forever" and in the movie "21 Coconuts". Iyaz was the recipient of a Japanese MTV Music Award in 2011 for his "Replay" music video and a 2011 BMI Pop Music Award because "Replay" was one of the 50 most performed songs of the year. He has worked with many different acts, including Big Time Rush, Mann, Snoop Dogg, Travie McCoy and J. R. Rotem. Other songs released by Iyaz include "Solo", "So Big", "Pretty Girls" and "Da Da Da".
