26 Ekim 1977 İstanbul'da doğdu.İstanbul Üniversitesi Amerikan Kültürü ve Edebiyatı mezunu olan Aslı Gökyokuş, müziğe Özel Ortadoğu Lisesi'nde okurken kurduğu "Phoenix" adlı grubuyla başladı. Orta ve lise yıllarında grubuyla çeşitli okul aktiviteleri ve konserlerde bulundu. Liseyi bitirdiklerinde grup, birkaç eleman değişikliğiyle "Mary Jane" adını aldı. Aslı ve arkadaşları, önce Gitar Bar'da daha sonra da 3 yıl boyunca Kemancı'da, sevdikleri sanatçıların şarkılarını coverlayarak sahne aldılar.
