Electric Guest

LA band Electric Guest is something of a newcomer to the music scene.
Despite only having been active since 2011, the four person band has appeared in major international music festivals including but not limited to Bonnaroo, Leeds Festival and Splendour in the Grass.
The indie electro rock band comprises of duo Asa Taccone and Matthew Compton, with brothers Todd and Tory Dahlhoff accompanying them on tour. Their album Mondo debuted in April 2012 on the Downtown Records and Across the Universe labels, peaking on the Heatseekers chart at number 11 and on the Independent Albums chart at number 49.
They have been featured by MTV and NME and have appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon as well as providing music for popular shows like Teen Wolf and Girls .
Notably, their music has also been used in a Superbowl ad. Danger Mouse and Asa Taccone are also close friends, Danger Mouse advising Taccone about the music industry.
Their partnership came to fruition with their collaboration on Mondo .
When pressed, Taccone and Compton have have listed French singer and musician Serge Gainsbourg, alt-rock band Blonde Redhead and rapper Mac Dre among their eclectic musical influences, adding that the list is by no means exhaustive. The 2012 Electric Guest Mondo tour consistently sold out, in part due to their reputation for providing raw, energetic live shows.
They have large and enthusiastic fanbases in both France and the UK, allowing them to headline sold out shows in both Paris and London. In addition to Mondo , Electric Guest has also released two EPs, titled This Head I Hold and Good America.
